Derek joins H.M. Payson with more than fifteen years of banking, trust and financial industry experience; most recently as Vice President and Director of Operations at Spinnaker Trust where he was a member of that firm’s senior leadership team.

As the Director of Operations for H.M. Payson, Derek will direct, develop and administer operational strategies to ensure the achievement of the Firm’s goals and objectives. He is responsible for oversight of the custodial platform, all subservice organizations and for the overall effectiveness of custodial operations.

As Chief Compliance Officer, Derek is responsible for monitoring, maintaining and enforcing the supervisory control system(s) in place to ensure the Firm’s compliance with applicable federal and state regulatory requirements together with the internal policies and procedures of H.M. Payson.

Sian joins H.M. Payson having previously worked as a trusts and estates attorney at LeBlanc & Young, P.A., a Portland, Maine, law firm, and Carter, Ledyard & Milburn LLP, in New York City.

In her role as Trust Officer, Sian will be responsible for servicing and administering trust relationships and monitoring and discharging the Firm’s fiduciary duties/responsibilities on behalf of its clients.
